Good food, clear information.
Recipe development
Our collection is developed with editorial and AI assistance. Recipes include measured ingredients, written methods and cooking cues. We do not claim that every recipe has been cooked in a test kitchen. Hands-on testing, when documented, will be identified on the recipe itself.
Ovens, pans and brands vary. Follow doneness cues as well as timing, and review substitutions before cooking.
Vegetarian and vegan labels
Vegetarian recipes exclude meat and fish. Vegan recipes also exclude eggs, dairy and honey. Choose cheeses labeled vegetarian and check packaged sauces, curry pastes, kimchi, noodles and pastries for animal ingredients. A substitution can change the diet and allergen profile.
Cheese ingredients specify vegetarian choices because some cheeses use animal rennet; see the Vegetarian Society’s cheese guide. For recipes containing wine or ale, choose products labeled suitable for vegetarians or vegans; the Society also explains wine and beer fining agents.
Our allergen notes highlight ingredients in the written recipe. Vegan and dairy-free recipe labels describe ingredient choices; they do not establish that packaged products or your kitchen are free from allergens. Read product labels, including cross-contact warnings, and follow the Food Standards Agency’s allergen guidance.
Gluten-free ingredient choices
For recipes labeled gluten-free, use the specified gluten-free sauces and stock, and check labels on all packaged ingredients. Ingredient substitutions and cross-contact during preparation can change suitability. See Coeliac UK’s guidance on labels and cooking at home.
Food photography
Food photographs may be AI generated and are illustrations of the dish or cooking stage. They are not evidence of hands-on recipe testing. We aim to match the listed ingredients and method, use descriptive image text, and show preparation photographs beside the relevant steps. Where photography is unfinished, the page says so.
Nutrition and storage
Nutrition figures are estimates per serving, not laboratory measurements or personalized nutrition advice. Ingredient brands, portions and substitutions change the result. Follow product storage instructions and refrigerate cooked food promptly. For cooked rice, follow the Food Standards Agency’s storage and reheating guidance.
Affiliate links
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
When affiliate links are enabled, we may receive a commission after a qualifying purchase at no extra cost to you. We disclose this beside shopping links. Our equipment guides explain what a tool does and what to look for; they do not claim hands-on product reviews unless that testing is documented.

If an ingredient, method or image needs correcting, contact us with the recipe name and the detail you noticed. Material recipe changes update the date shown on the page.
